Rolla, Traverso & Storace is an Italian steel company based in Genoa that has been active since 1885 in the distribution of carbon steel.
The activity is the marketing of sheet metal, bulb-shaped plates, profiles and tubes intended for the heating, pressure vessels, oil & gas, energy, petrochemical industry and shipbuilding sectors.
Four generations of work have built what is today the true heritage of the company: the knowledge of the material. Knowing which quality corresponds to a specification, which steelworks produces that thickness at that grade, how much time really is needed to have it on site. It is a skill that cannot be learned overnight and that the customer finds in the person they talk to on the phone.

Marco Merlo — Chief Executive Officer
In Rolla, Traverso & Storace since 1987, he has worked throughout the company's administrative structure, taking on the role of financial director and, since 2023, the position of Chief Executive Officer and General Attorney. He oversees the budget, operational management, and the company's representation before bodies and institutions.
Laura Traverso — General Manager
He has been with the company since 1992 and leads the operational management of Rolla, Traverso & Storace. He is one of the commercial references for its historical clients. He carries the surname of one of the founding families and represents the direct continuity with the company's tradition.
Michela Toiati — Commercial, Sales and Purchasing Department
She has been with the company since 1995, working for fifteen years in quality and testing of sheets, profiles and tubes intended primarily for the naval industry, before moving into sales and purchasing. She therefore combines her technical knowledge of the material with her commercial skills.
Lucia Munaretto — Commercial Office
He has been with the company since 2002, overseeing the purchase and sale of steel sheets and profiles for naval use and special steels. He is the go-to person for shipyards and for supplies that require certification from classification societies.
Francesco Parodi — Commercial Office
He joined the company in 2022 in the quality area, where he oversaw testing and inspections of materials. Since 2024, he has worked in the sales office. His background in quality allows him to handle customer technical requests with direct knowledge of the product.
Certifications and memberships
The management system is certified UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 by RINA. The company operates with attention to environmental protection and sustainability criteria and corporate ethics, and can perform additional tests with Lloyd's Register of Shipping, RINA, DNV GL, Bureau Veritas, American Bureau of Shipping, TÃœV and NK Nippon Kaiji Kyokai.
